Two (Unrelated) Things

1. The royal wedding was perfect, wasn't it? It was like watching a Disney movie come to life.

And, I did end up making cupcakes for the big day.  They were a big hit at school.

2. Tomorrow is when the Calypso St. Barth collection comes to Target!

I don't have Mr. Kinne sold on the idea that we need a metallic Moroccan pouf for the living room.

Or, I should say I don't have him sold on the idea, yet.

Royal Wedding Printables

I am OBSESSED with these printable party supplies for Will and Kate's big day.  I am tempted to turn Friday's lunch in the teacher's room into a royal celebration.

(Also, Will, Kate and I are apparently on a first-name basis).

Pregnancy Survival Kit

I recently discovered that I am going to be an aunt again-- this time on the other side of the family! (Yay!)

As soon as I heard the news, I knew what I wanted to create: a Pregnancy Survival Kit.  (I have to admit that I stole the idea from a creative co-worker of mine).

This also meant that I had to take a trip to Target... and you know how much I hate that...

(I used clip art from Paper Glitter and this super fun font).

Adorable, right?

Make-Up Monday: The Beauty Department

The Beauty Department is a lovely new site from Lauren Conrad and friends.

I am in love with the how-tos and the pretty pictures, and I have officially added this one to my favorites.

An Easter Update

Reason #3167 that I love being married: Mr. Kinne hid clues in eggs to lead me to my Easter basket.

And then that Easter basket contained both tiny Trader's Joe peanut butter cups and the latest Glee soundtrack.

(His basket contained a totally awesome Star Wars t-shirt, so I think we're even).

Letters G and H

I am still playing along with the fabulous Shannon to compile an encyclopedia of me.

Google
I am not sure what anyone did before Google.  How did we find out the name of that one guy on that one episode of Law and Order?  How did we find the phone number of that place we wanted to call?  (O.k., I know the answer to that one. But, Google is so much awesomer than the Yellow Pages).

Glee
I am in love with this show, and I listen to the soundtracks in the car all the time.  Yes, it can be campy and ridiculous, but it is also incredibly touching and funny.  (I regularly announce, "I love Kurt's dad!" in our living room).

Gardening
Admittedly, I am not a fan of weeding or bugs or remembering to water my plants.  But, I am a huge fan of nurturing something and watching it grow.

Husbands
I am stealing this one from Shannon, because I feel really lucky to have Mr. Kinne around.  Sometimes, when I'm feeling really insecure, I turn to him and say, "Will you say something nice about me?"  And, he always manages to come up with something that makes me feel better.

How I Met Your Mother
Mr. Kinne and I quote this show all of the time, and it is also where Barney got his name.  Plus, "Let's Go to the Mall" is one of the funniest things that ever happened.

Hello Kitty
I have been a fan of Hello Kitty since I was really tiny.  I am still a sucker that little face and that little bow.

Mr. Kinne's Big Day... Um, Week

Yesterday was Mr. Kinne's birthday-- although, he, like me, likes to celebrate a Birthday Week.

We spent his actual birthday eating Mexican food at On the Border and watching Harry Potter movies on the couch.

It was pretty great.

Sugar, Sugar

Strawberry Pop Tarts are the benchmark to which I compare all other unhealthy foods.

Like, if I look at the nutrition facts on something that has fewer than 16 grams of sugar, I will think, "Well, that's less sugar than a Strawberry Frosted Pop Tart."

(Sixteen grams of sugar! In one pop tart! And who eats one Pop Tart?)

But, you see, I super love Strawberry Frosted Pop Tarts.

And, that's why Special K Fruit Crisps are the best thing I've discovered in the grocery store lately.  They taste like a slightly crunchier version of a Pop Tart, and they are not so bad for you.

(Seven grams of sugar for two... and, well, that's way less sugar than a Strawberry Frosted Pop Tart).

Make-Up Monday: Benefit Bella Bamba

My budget is a little tight at the moment, because I'm saving up for a new purse and for the next Target designer collaboration, but if I had, oh, about 28 dollars lying around, I would buy this Benefit blush.

I happen to be a sucker for Benefit products and glittery packaging.

(I always pick toothpaste based on which brand offers the sparkliest box. True story).

Weekend in New York

The alternate title for these pictures is "Can you tell I got the Hipstamatic app for my new phone?"

A Brand New Bag

When the zipper pull on my big old purse broke, it was like the universe was whispering, "Mrs. Kinne, buy a pretty new bag...."

And, who am I to argue with the universe?

Fossil is really hitting it out of the park with its recent "vintage" releases.

This Melie Bianco bag is so girly and pretty.

This Lands End Canvas Tote looks like it could handle all of the stuff I carry on a daily basis.

And, now it would be o.k. if the universe provided me with a money tree in the backyard.

(Hair and) Make-Up Monday: Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Shampoo and Conditioner

Thank you for your sweet words on my last post.  I am feeling better after a wonderful weekend in New York, full of yummy Cuban food and Magnolia cupcakes.

For now, I am going to focus on the good things in my life, like Mr. Kinne and my crazy family and the fact that my hair smells like violets on a regular basis.

(Seriously, I have switched hair products a few times since I found this line for wavy hair, but I always come back to these because they smell so good).
